Definitely going to go with the American cover. It was, after all, what brought me to read the book in the first place, and even though I was disappointed with the actual book, the cover will remain one of my favorites.
The problem with the Australian cover is that the girl looks too modern. You don't get that instant taste of the period right away like you do with the American cover.
