Feature And Follow Friday (16).

I like unique names for characters and am looking forward to coming up with some when I start writing. What’s the most unique character name you’ve come across?

I would have to say Sirius (Black) and (Lord) Voldemort both from Harry Potter I can't see anyone ever naming their kids any of these two names.

  1. New follower here! Well, Voldemort is a self given name. :P I sure hope that no one would name their child Voldemort... I've always been amazed by JK Rowling's naming skills.

  6. Oh, you know there's going to be someone, someday, with the middle name "Hagrid" asking his parents, "WHY?". Thanks for visiting me!!! I pretty much put my post out and went to sleep (zzzzz) and I'm just getting around now :) Love the Valerius quote!!!!! I've got to get back into that series - last one I read was Bad Moon Rising (yep, I own every one!)

  11. I love the name Sirius - probably because I love that character! Haha, it'd be pretty unfortunate if anyone ever called their kid Voldemort!

New to your blog - I love the name of it, very appropriate! ;)

  15. I used to say out the LOTR hobbit names aloud as they were like tongue twisters for me. Also, For the first couple of chapters I used to read "Peeta from Hunger games" as Peter in my mind!!!!

  18. Sirius Black is one of the names that I still pronounce differently from everyone around me. So when we are talking about the book I always have a moment of who?
