A vampire hunter finds himself powerless to resist a bewitching stranger's dangerous magic in Michele Hauf's latest romance.
In all his years of battling the undead, Kaz has never seen bloodlust like this. And as a Knight of the Stake, it's up to him to find out who's responsible for the mayhem sweeping the streets of Paris and put a stop to it. Kaz's task becomes infinitely more complicated when a very attractive witch wants to help.
With her quirky charm and irresistibly kissable lips, Zoe just feels right to Kaz, the way no mortal woman ever has before. But as a sworn enemy of the supernatural, can he really trust a witch? Especially one with dangerous secrets of her own?

My Thoughts.
The Vampire Hunter by Michele Hauf is the second book In The Company Of Vampires series by Michele Hauf, set in a world filled with all different paranormal species, which Kaspar 'Kas' protects humans from as a hunter of the 'Order Of The Knights'.
This is how he meets our heroine Zoe a witch, and the one responsible for creating 'magic dust' a substance which is like heroin for vampires, once their addiction becomes extremely bad they'll grab anything that sparkles, including jewelery even if it's still attached to someone's neck at the time resulting in a lot of deaths and has Kas investigating, trying to discover the one creating the dust, unbeknownst to her, the dust that Zoe has been making and selling is not in fact curing vampires of their addiction but instead worsens their addictions, turning them into rampaging, murderous creatures.
From The first moment they lay eyes on each other there is an instant attraction, and the chemistry between these two is hot.
Once Kas discovers that Zoe is responsible for the drug that also ultimately killed two of his friends, can he forgive her and move forward with their relationship or will he never be able to get past it.
While I did enjoy this book, I felt it could have been shorter, once I put it down between reads I wasn't in a rush to want to pick it up again, which resulted in me not finishing this book as fast as I would normally do with a book this size.
The concept was good but for me the story was too drawn out.
I give this 3/5 Stars.
