Book Review (10).

Birthmarked (Birthmarked #1)

My Thoughts.
Gaia is following in her Mother's footsteps and training to be a midwife. The first three babies born each month are handed over to the Enclave to be adopted and live inside the wall (these included Gaia's two older brothers).
One night arriving home after delivering her first unassisted baby she finds both her parent's have been arrested by the guards of the Protecterate, there is a guard there waiting for her to ask her about important information that her parent's had (a record of all the births of the babies given into the Enclave) Gaia doesn't know anything but was given a ribbon by Old Meg who works with her Mother, not knowing the information they're after is sewn onto the ribbon.
Gaia's time is then spent trying to find a way into the Enclave to save her parents, and once in there trying to find her way out.
I liked this book way more than I thought I would and now it's straight onto the second book Prized.
I give this book 4/5

The Willows: Haven (The Willows #1)

by
When tragedy strikes, seventeen year-old Ashton Blake sets out on a cross-country road trip, leaving the comforts of Malibu for the mountains of Kentucky. Along the way, she encounters Gabe Willoughby—the mysterious drifter with eyes like the sea and a knowing smile. Getting to know Gabe raises questions about her past. But no secret can be buried forever, and Ashton soon finders herself in a world where water is air and myth becomes reality.

Just as Ashton comes to accept her newfound heritage, she’s summoned to fulfill a treaty laid down centuries before — a treaty that will divide her love and test her loyalty. In the end, her future isn’t her biggest concern, her humanity is. To run may mean war, but is she strong enough to stay?

Endlessly (Paranormalcy #3)

by
The third book in the Paranormalcy trilogy.

The final chapter of Evie's adventures. Old friends, new ones, all wrapped up in impossible decisions. And some ball gowns. Because what's a life of normal and paranormal drama without a ball gown or two?

My Good News, Bad News.

So I went to the Orthopaedic Surgeon today and was told I have to keep the cast on for another 5 and a half weeks, I've already had it on for 2 weeks and that's definately long enough.
On the plus side I get all that time to pretty much just read (cause really what else am I gonna do?)
And I also got another cast put on in my favourite colour pink!
