Q: Do you read one book at a time or do you switch back and forth between two or more?
I definitely read only one book at a time because otherwise I confuse myself and I'd rather pay all my attention to one book at a time and I find I enjoy it more.
I agree, however, I can read 2 at a time without losing focus. Even weirder: I have no problem listening to music or texting while reading. Old follower (now via Linky, too) Happy Friday _yay_: FollowFriday
I agree with both you and _yay_. I don't usually get confused when reading two books. :) New follower! My FF; http://booknookgirl.blogspot.com/2012/03/follow-friday-3.html
I've been told I have a really good memory so maybe that's why I like to read so many books at once. I usually don't forget or get confused. I like to read a lot of different genres at once. Keeps things interesting. Thanks for visiting My FF and I'm an old follower but new linky follower!
I understand why you choose to read one at once. I often find I'm unable to just stick to one at a time, though. Like I much prefer to take my Kindle book with me when I'm on public transport whereas I prefer to have a hardback or heavier paperback for reading in bed.
Reading two print books at a time would be hard, if you haven't tried audiobooks yet though I highly recommend it. They are just perfect for the car or when you're doing laundry :)
I know that feeling! If I didn't take notes, I'd get ONE book confused, let alone several. That's the only way I can keep track when I've got a hard copy and ecopy going at the same time. Thanks for stopping by :)
Thanks for commenting on my blog! I'm an Old Follower of yours too so I'm following you by Linky now. Reading more than one book is confusing! If you have the switch why even read the first one lol
We have different reading habits, but we both love to read. That is what important! :) Thanks for stopping by my FF, following you back on Linky. Happy Friday!
I agree, it is definitely easier to read one at a time - I usually read the first chapter of a few books, just to get a feel for them, but other than that, I would easily get confused, lol! Thanks for stopping by my blog :) Happy reading!
Agreed! I don't find it hard to keep the story lines and characters straight. I think for me it is hard to fully vest myself in either book and give them the time they need.
I have to have at least one book that I'm reading specifically for myself and one the I'm reviewing for an author or tour going at the same time. Otherwise I'd get nothing done.
Hi & Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteI tend to read one book on my kindle and another on my iphone/ipad.
