Logan Calhoun is the last full-blooded Paladin, the future leader of a race of immortal warrior angels. The heavy responsibility of continuing the Paladin line falls to him, and the last thing he should do is get involved with a human. Then fate throws Jessica Waters, a homicide detective who doesn't believe in fate or divine intervention, into his path. Her devotion lies in her Glock and a good set of handcuffs. Like Logan, she's a warrior for her people, and she awakens within him something he'd never thought he'd feel. But she's also as human as they come...
My Thoughts...
This is a great instalment to the Paladin Warriors series, this book is Logan's story and his involvement with a human police officer Jessica.
One night while out patrolling he comes across Jessica while she is waiting for an informant, after coming face to face with the creatures that go bump in the night he has to erase her memory of that incident, so when they meet again the next day she doesn't remember him but she feels like she's met him before.
Logan soon discovers that Jessica is his bond mate but the knowledge that she is mortal and he'll one day have to watch her die stops him from starting a relationship with her but instead resorts to following her around which she soon discovers and thinks that he's nothing more than a stalker.
And with Jessica investigating a case that only seems to put her in danger Logan is more determined than ever to keep her safe and out of trouble, but that is easier said than done when trouble seems to find her wherever she is.
We get some glimpses of Roland and Karissa and what they are up too and Valin whom was a favourite of mine from the first book and I'm hoping that his book is next, and with the mention of Gabbie I'm extremely excited as these two belong together.
I'm really happy with where this series is going and I look forward to continuing on with this series and all those other Paladin warriors, if you haven't read this series yet, pick it up and give it a go.
I give this 4/5.
