Musing Mondays (4).

Musing Mondays Is A Weekly Meme Hosted Over At Should Be Reading.
Are you currently collecting any authors? Why?
Do you have all of their books? If not, why not?
Did you buy all the books in the collection at the same time, or did you buy a book here, a book there? Have you actually read all of the collection? If not, why not?

The authors who's books I currently collect are: Stephenie Meyer, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Christine Feehan, Kelley Armstrong and Richelle Mead.
I love all their writing and I've never really read a bad book by any of them.
I own all of the books by all of these authors.
I didn't buy all the books at the same time but when I started reading a series I'd buy them then.
And yes I've read every single book all these authors have written.

Musing Mondays (3).

Musing Mondays Is Hosted By MizB At Should Be Reading.

Would You Say That You Read About The Same Amount Now As When You Were Younger?
More? Less? Why?

I probably read more when I was younger, when I was at school I used to win awards at school for reading the most books in a year.
Between work and everything else I don't read as much as I'd like to, when I get the chance I can read a  500 page book in a day, this year I joined the Goodreads reading challenge and have challenged myself to read 250 books this year, so far I've read 211 which is the most I've read in some time.

This Week's Musings Asks....
(Do You Listen To Audiobooks? Why, Or Why Not?

I have to say I have never listened to an audiobook, unless you count those you read along with when I was younger.
I'd rather have a book in my hand, and I know if I was listening to an audiobook that I wouldn't pay attention and I'd be doing other stuff and won't have heard what had gone on.
Audiobooks just aren't for me.
Give me a normal book anytime.

This Week's Musing Asks....
(Do You Judge A Book By It's Cover?)

O.k so I would like to think of myself as someone that doesn't judge a book by it's cover but I do it's just that some covers are so pretty (even if all the people in my house think I'm weird for calling a book cover pretty). Prime example of me judging a cover I refused to read 'Perfect Chemistry - Simone Elkeles' because the cover reminded me of a cheesy 80's teenage romance novel, yet everyone kept going on about how good it was so i succumbed to peer pressure and to my shock and amazement it was one of the best books I've read this year!
